As part of the second phase of Gulu University’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Resource Center project (SRHRC) , which aims to improve the quality of care at St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor, we’re happy to share a meaningful milestone. The hospital has received seven new television screens. The screens will help in supporting better data visualization and enhancing audiovisual health education across the facility.
Dr. Sande Ojara, while receiving the screens, noted that more than 20 staff members have already undergone training focused on improving routine care. A key part of this training emphasized strengthening communication with patients through clear and engaging health education messages. The screens will be placed in strategic locations, including, antenatal care unit, maternity, gynecology ward, surgery, and the administration block near the billing point.
The delivery was made by Ms. Jacklyn Ayikoru, a member of the project team and teaching staff in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, on behalf of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Pebalo Francis Pebolo.
As a partner to Gulu University, we deeply appreciate this thoughtful contribution. These screens will help ensure that health education messages are not only seen but truly understood, making a lasting impact on the way we care for and communicate with our patients.
Thank you, Gulu University, for continuing to invest in better, more human-centered reproductive health services.
