Lacor Hospital was approved for internship of newly graduated medical doctors in 1983. At that time, the only Medical Scool in Uganda was Makerere Faculty of Medicine. Since then Mbarara Faculty of Medicine was founded in the eighties and recently Gulu Faculty of Medicine (the first doctors will graduate in 2010) were created by the Government of Uganda. Interns come to Lacor Hospital from all these schools.
In FY 2008/09 14 doctors have completed their internship in Lacor Hospital and further 14 were still on training on the 30/06/09.
